We welcome everyone to start this new year with a regular yoga practice. Classes resume on 1 February.

If a global pandemic has taught us anything it is that health is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver. Yoga Tree has maintained the same price structure for the past 6 years, and the time has come for us to increase our class prices marginally so that we can sustainably continue offering you excellence in health and well-being modalities.

All of our teachers spend incredible amounts of time and resources maintaining their expertise and credentialing so that we can offer you what we believe are world class yoga, meditation and wellbeing sessions. All current class passes will be honoured at current prices, but any new classes purchased as of January 19, 2021 will be at the new class/pass price.

2021 Pricing Schedule

  • Casual Drop/in Class: $18 or $16 concession

  • 10 class pass: $150

  • 10 class pass concession: $140

  • 5 class pass: $80

  • 5 class pass concession: $75

  • All online classes: $15 (can be purchased with pass)

If you are suffering financial hardship please feel free to discuss a price review with your teacher.

We are still working to a COVID Safe plan as per Qld Government regulations, which limits class sizes to 14. Bookings essential. Please bring your own props and a towel if using our bolsters or cushions etc. All members need to update their personal details on momoyoga with at least a phone number or current email address for us to meet contact tracing guidelines. This is really important. Please stay away if you are unwell.

 

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

Expressions of Interest are invited for a place in the next Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) 8 week course with Helen Ferrier of Mallow Wellbeing.

No cost if you are a resident of the Granite Belt area. Available as a group or individually.

Benefits of better breathing

These classes will help or improve health, stability, relaxation, any sinus blockage, blood pressure issues, dizziness, sleep quality, mood and clarity of thinking. Postural pain, discomfort, night aches often lessen. The immune system loves these practices & responds accordingly. Irest Yoga Nidra: Life can be hard - iRest can help.

Based on the ancient teachings of meditation, iRest is an evidence-based transformative practice that leads to psychological, physical, and spiritual healing and wellbeing. It can provide you with tools to help you relax deeply, release stress, increase resiliency, improve interpersonal relationships and provide you with greater mastery and control in your life...all while lying down. Classes are in-studio, online or a link can be sent to you after class for you to practice at a time that suits.

Friday.

Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is a wonderful way for ALL bodies to get the benefits of yoga, irrespective of age, mobility or injury. Yoga is practiced while seated on a chair, and uses props such as walls and straps to assist those with mobility issues to stretch & strengthen the body, increase flexibility, reduce stress and improve circulation. Breathwork and meditation are included in these classes.

Friday.

Beginner Yoga

These classes are level 1 and accessible for those starting out or re-igniting their yoga practice. The classes are individualised and based within a traditional hatha practice, and are offered in a relaxed, open and friendly environment. There is an expression of interest open for those that wish to complete a 6 week-beginner course with Maree.

Zen Thai Shiatsu Therapy

Zen Thai Shiatsu Therapy is a fully clothed floor massage designed to bring the body into it's naturally relaxed and self healing state.
It has been described as someone doing the yoga for you with twisting and opening joints creating deep relaxation whilst activating meridian points.

It is my honour to meet each person where they are and offer my love and care as best as I can to move the body and help relieve pain and stress, sometimes the body might just need a bit of a wake up. Feel free to call me to have a chat to see if Zen Thai Shiatsu is for you.

108 Sun Salutations

In yogic tradition, something is often repeated 108 times as a sacred spiritual practice. The number 108, is a sacred number which mathematicians from the Vedic tradition came to view as the number representing the wholeness of existence.

On December 21 - Summer Solstice, some members of Yoga Tree completed 108 Sun Salutations to give thanks to the energy of Prana (lifeforce), to honour the year that had passed and to cleanse and detoxify our physical, emotional and spiritual bodies to promote presence and connection with selves and others.

The practice took 2 hours and 40 minutes to complete, and was accompanied by Linda Rago chanting the rhythmic and devotional Heart Sutra.

This was a very special practice and we thank all those who participated. It was a really beautiful communal effort that created deep joy and a sense of abundance in those present.
